Children & Youth

St. David’s Episcopal Day School, founded in 1955 by St. David’s Episcopal Church, offers classes for ages two to five and provides Extended Care for enrolled students. Children of all faiths are welcome.

Day School Chapel

The Day School holds a Chapel service weekly, alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:15 during the school year. All are welcome.

Youth Group

St. David’s has a continually growing youth group program that includes fun activities, service projects, meeting new friends and growing in God’s love.

Child Care

Care is provided for young children by qualified employees from the Day School during the 10:15 Eucharist. In addition, a changing table is conveniently available in a handicapped accessible restroom.

Outreach

As disciples of Jesus, we are guided by his words, ‘Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me’ (Matthew 25:40) and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ (Luke 10:27). These teachings inspire our unwavering commitment to a wide range of ministries within the broader church and community. Each year, allocations from the parish budget, representing 12-14%, along with generous contributions from parishioners and friends, contribute approximately $60,000—if not more—in charitable donations. Bible Study

Bible study returns for the 2024-2025 season on Thursday evening, September 12th, at 6:30pm in the Great Hall! The group meets every Thursday evening and all are welcome at any time. Stay tuned for information about the new season or contact the Parish Office at 302-475-4688 for more information.

Meditation & Discussion

During the month of December, Fr. David Andrews led an informal prayer and meditation workshop on Sunday mornings between the 8 & 10:15 services. This was such a success that the group has decided to continue meeting each Sunday morning at 9am in the Memorial Room. This self-led discussion and meditation group is open to everyone and all are welcome at any time. No sign-ups or reservations are needed – just bring yourself on Sunday morning at 9am. Education for Ministry

This multi-parish group gathers each week to share in worship, fellowship, discussion of weekly readings, and theological reflection. EFM meets weekly on Tuesday nights from 6:30pm-8:45pm. Most meetings are via Zoom, but there is an in-person gathering every 4-6 weeks. All are welcome at any time. Needles of Creation

Needles of Creation is the official parish needlework group at St. David’s. The group meets twice per month on the Second and Fourth Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm in the Memorial Room. The group is open to all needleworkers and crafters (or those who love the needle arts and crafts) and new participants are welcome at any time. In addition to individual works, the group shares skills, patterns and ideas to create special projects for the parish and community. Women’s Spirits

Women’s Spirits is a fellowship for all women to share thoughts on a wide range of topics, which have included Prayer, Forgiveness, Schadenfreude, Decision Fatigue, etc. All are encouraged to propose and lead a topic of interest. We always have a lively and laugh-filled conversation! Plus coffee and snacks – join us! We meet one Saturday per month at 10:00 in the Memorial Room. Wisdom Seekers

The Wisdom Seekers is the parish book group. Participants in Wisdom Seekers obtain books from their local library or purchase books from sellers such as Barnes & Noble or Amazon or other sellers online. The group meets on Tuesday mornings from 10 to 11:30am via Zoom. The group will begin their new book on December 3rd. The new book, Searching for Sunday by Rachel Held Evans. Diane Camarote will lead the discussion. Please read the Forward, Prologue, and pages 3 through 47. Also, read the comments from Pope Francis located before the Contents. All are welcome at any time. Parent/Caregiver Support Group

Parents and Caregivers of St. David's Day School students and church members meet for coffee/tea once a month at St. David's on Tuesday mornings for fellowship, enrichment and support.
