Outreach Committee – Volunteer Opportunity: Stockings for Soldiers
Join us in spreading holiday cheer to our troops! Stockings For Soldiers – Delaware, Inc. was founded to improve the morale and welfare of U.S. service members deployed in harm’s way. The organization sews holiday stockings and fills them with special items to show appreciation and support. Last year, over 1,500 great volunteers helped mail out 1,000 boxes packed with over 8,500 homemade, personalized Christmas Stockings that were filled with 31,000 pounds of goodies. Join us on Tuesday, November 11, from 6:30 to 8:30pm at The Stocking Store in the Brandywine Town Center. Please consider volunteering with fellow St. David’s parishioners to help stuff stockings for this meaningful cause. To participate, sign up by clicking the link below. Group size is limited to 15 participants.
Safety Note: No small children, please. Students in grades 2–8 may volunteer with adult supervision; high school students and older may attend independently.
